Welcome to Sportsman's Paradise

From boating and fishing to hiking and camping, there’s no shortage of natural adventures around every corner. Explore nature trails at Tunica Hills, adventure through one of BREC's many parks and trails, kayak or canoe on one of the city's scenic blueways, or take a quiet walk on the levee.

Active Groups & Clubs

Meet up with like-minded fitness enthusiasts and hobbyists at any of the countless clubs in the city. If you're a runner, there's Happy's Running Club downtown or the Varsity Sports Running Club on Perkins. Get peddlin' with the Baton Rouge Bike Club, or join a BREC recreational sports league for any game, age, and experience level. Curious about croquet? The Red Stick Croquet Club plays at the City-Brooks Community Park Croquet Court every Wednesday and Saturday.

Youth Sports & Clubs

Your child won't be able to say they are bored when you live here. Baton Rouge offers everything from soccer and basketball leagues at BREC parks to swimming teams and junior tennis programs.

Explore traditional sports or venture into unique activities like rock climbing and archery, all within a community that values skill development, teamwork, and physical fitness.

These programs are more than just hobbies; they allow kids to connect, make lifelong friends, and embrace a healthy, active lifestyle.
